The Race Returns for the Third Year!!!

The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition is pleased to announce the third addition of the ever popular and venerated Hillandale Trail Run. This 10k race is a popular favorite and the locals have been anxiously anticipating a chance to battle it out on the finest trail network the city of Harrisonburg has to offer. This event showcases the premier trails created by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition within Harrisonburg's own Hillandale park. This multi-use trail network is over three years old and each winter the Coalition adds more mileage to the trails. The trails provide a vital and unique experience for users, either on bike or on foot. The system is designed around a stacked loop trail system where the trails begin with easy "green" trails, progress to the more difficult "blue" trails, and then finally the most challenging "red" trails. As the difficulty increases riders can hone their skills on rocky, narrow trails where they can practice negotiating tricky singletrack sections that they may encounter out in the National Forest West of town.

Stay Tuned for more information about the event. As of now the run is scheduled for Saturday April 17th, mark your calendars!
