Big thanks to all those local businesses who donated prizes to the event. I think this year like past years just about everyone left with a prize in hand. We had a good turnout with passionate runners and good volunteers. The course was marked very well with many arrows and tape at every turn. Not a single runner missed a turn despite the spider web of trails that Hillandale has to offer. I want to take a second and think the following local businesses for donating prizes to the event. Make sure that you support these local businesses, not only did they donate to the event but they also help out the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition throughout the year!
Big Thanks to the following establishments
Clementine Cafe: The SVBC holds their monthly meetings in the lounge and Clementine emphasizes helping out and building community in Harrisonburg
Blue Nile: The delicious Ethiopian food and fun downstairs bar has housed numerous SVBC gatherings.
Artful Dodger: Located in Court Square, the Dodger has been a vital part to downtown revitalization ever since it opened. Where else can you get coffee/breakfast AND have a dance party until 2AM?
James McHone Jewelry: Another downtown institution, James McHone is always supportive of SVBC events and is the most personable jeweler in town!
Wilderness Voyagers: We have a gem in Harrisonburg to have a small locally owned top-notch outdoor gear store. These guys know everything there is to know about outdoor gear and they are all members of the SVBC. They contribute greatly with trail work at Massanutten and in the National Forest.
Shenandoah Bicycle Company: One of the few viable retail spaces in downtown Harrisonburg, SBC has and will continue to support local cycling as best as possible.
